Yeah, you guys had the best booth ever! There was also this strange effect where everything would look like it was shot through a fisheye lens when I approached.

Sweet report Mr. Baker. You and Rhode definitely had the most style on the Con floor. The outfits and the whole booth was just awesome.

I agree about the independent artist books taking it up a notch. We saw some amazing work this year around

I’ll pitch in with another “great post Jamie!”, Because it is.

I thought that your booth and concept this year was fantastic. Humor + plaid = awe.

My only regret is that I was never able to come back with Dawna to get our photos with those superb sales guys you hired. They were nutz.

I think that Jimmy and Roddy were *nearly* as fun as you and Rhodes.

You’re certainly right about the quality of small pressers these days, and the competition for the public’s attention.

I don’t think that most of the public cares whether you’re small press or not, just whether or not you can catch their eye, and engage them.

It’s tough, but I think you accomplished it again this year.

I look forward to talking to you fellas again next time around. Maybe we can wrangle a meal at one of the smaller cons.

Metalusion>> thanks for the great pix you took Bosco, they are what makes this report! In answer to your question, Rhode and I were able to mount a hostile take-over of ABISMO/NERVE BOMB and buy it back from Roddy and Jimmy. So I don’t think we’ll be seeing them again.

Awesome write up!
especially liked the on the road pics in character.
think i may try to get some closer accomodations next year to be nearer to all the action and hopefully have some new books to sell as well.

are you going to continue doing business with Bakersfield and Montecarlo? they’re a big hit!

OMG! Jamie, that was one of your best posts ever (and that’s quite an accomplishment!). I swear, I wish you guys filmed that whole weekend in character…You’d be YouTube superstars!

As one of those responsible for bringing in actors and filmscreenings and movie giveaways, I apologize… What? Oh, you mean the real big productions! Nevermind…!!!
