Thanks to all of you who stopped by the table I shared with mr Rhode Montijo at the Alternative Press expo (on Feb21-22). We had a great spot on the main floor of the new location; the Concourse Exhibition Center on 7th street. Not quite as cold as the Fort Mason center digs (where it was held the last time I exhibited at APE in 2002).
The talk of the show was the Flight crew. They didn’t have a publisher yet but they had a booth and preview pages of an amazing anthology book. They just went ahead and made a colour book without asking anybody’s “permission”! We couldn’t believe the simple, optimistic boldness of it; why didn’t we think of that? let’s hope that they are successful with that approach.
